Italy I. - Venezia!
Hello! Here is the first part of our Italy trip. We decided to divide it into more posts and the first one is about
Venezia!
Venezia is the capital city of Veneto - one of the 20 regions of Italy. It's situated on 117 small islands separated by canalsand linked by bridges. Venezia has been known as City of Water, City of Masks, or City of Canals.

Ponte dei Sospiri - a bridge connecting Palazzo Ducale and a nearby prison. Its name (Bridge of Sighs) comes from a suggestion that prisoners would sigh at their final view of beautiful Venice through the window before being taken down to their cells. The cells are here:

Venezia was really amazing. This "water city" has got a specific atmosphere, just like every city does, but Venezia's atmosphere was really magical. And even though we didn't have a perfect weather, we enjoyed it a lot!

Venice looks incredible! I studied art history in college and learned a lot about the Renaissance in Venice so I really can't wait to go one day.
